Who we are and what these terms cover

By creating a roll or joining one, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Luura.

Who can use Luura

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you use Luura for someone else — an employer, a club, a client — you confirm you are allowed to.

What Luura is

Luura turns guests' phones into disposable cameras for one event. A roll is created by a host, guests join it with a QR code, everyone shoots a fixed number of photos, and nobody can see any photo until the host reveals the roll. Photos are processed with the film look the host chose and shown to everyone on the roll.

The rules of the roll are the product, not a fault

Luura deliberately has no preview, no retake, no filters to choose mid-roll and no way to delete a photo while the roll is open. The reveal is timed by the host and enforced on our servers. This is what the product is for, and it is not a missing feature or a defect. If you want to choose every shot, Luura is the wrong tool.

If you host a roll

• You are responsible for telling your guests what the roll is and what will happen to their photos. Luura gives you and them a short consent screen, but the invitation is yours.
• You choose the film look, the reveal time and the roll's guest limit. Once guests have started shooting, changing these can affect photos that already exist.
• You decide when to reveal the roll. Until you do, guests can see nothing.
• You must not use Luura to collect photos of people who have not agreed, to photograph anyone in a place where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy, or for anything unlawful. You must not upload photos you do not have the right to share.
• You are responsible for any photos you take into a roll as the host.

If you join a roll

You agree that the photos you take go into that roll and can be seen by the host and the other guests, and that the roll will be revealed at a time the host chose. You agree to photograph only what you are entitled to photograph, and to treat other people in the roll decently. You keep the right to delete your own photos at any time.

Your photos

Your photos stay yours. You do not give us ownership of them. You give us permission to store them, process them with the roll's film look, and show them to the people on that roll, for as long as the roll exists — that is what is needed to run the service, and nothing more. We do not use your photos to train anything, to advertise, or anywhere outside Luura, and we do not publish them.

You confirm you have the right to share the photos you take into a roll.

Plans and payment

Plans are one-time purchases for a single roll — one event — not a subscription and not an account-wide plan. A second event is a second roll and a second purchase. Prices are shown in the app, include VAT, and are charged through the App Store or Google Play, so the store's own terms govern the payment, and refunds follow that store's policy rather than ours.

Free rolls are limited in guest count and how long photos are kept. Paid tiers raise the limit and change retention. What each tier includes is shown when you create a roll.

If a purchase fails to activate a roll, we may need to reconcile it manually with the store's receipt. Contact [email protected].

Availability and changes

We try to keep Luura running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability, and we may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service. Because photos are the point, we will give notice before ending a feature that holds them, and we will not delete photos except as this policy and the privacy policy describe.

We may change these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you where you will see it. Continuing to use Luura after a change means you accept it.

Ending your use

You can stop using Luura at any time and ask us to delete your rolls and your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use puts other people's data at risk. Ending your access does not remove your obligation to pay for purchases already made.

Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by us, for fraud, for gross negligence, or for anything else German law does not allow us to exclude. Beyond that: we are liable for loss caused by our breach of these terms, up to the amount you paid for the roll concerned; and we are not liable for lost profit, for photos that others have already saved, or for the failure of a third-party service such as a store, a push provider or your own network.

Take your own copies of photos you care about. Luura is built to keep them, but it is not a backup service, and it is not a substitute for keeping the pictures that matter to you somewhere you control.

Governing law

These terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protections of the law of the country you live in. The courts where we are based have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
